About

With his many high-profile acting roles, you’ve already seen the acting talents of Larry Bagby in TV and film.  He is internationally known for his All-American and guy next door characters, as well as, his comedic and dramatic roles.  His long list of credits including the supporting role as Marshall Grant in the award-winning film “Walk the Line”, as “ICE” (Ernie) in the iconic film “Hocus Pocus”,  and as Shirl Kendrick in the war drama “Saints and Soldiers”, etc.  He has appeared in many TV shows such as HBO’s “Ray Donovan”,  Fox hit TV show “9-1-1”, CBS long time series “NCIS”,  “The Young and the Restless”, “JAG”, “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and many more.

Larry Bagby was exposed to the musical world early in life.  His father played in a dance band and Larry was known to jump on the stage to entertain the audience alongside his talented father.  At the age of eight, Larry’s debut performance as “OZ” in the musical “Wizard of Oz” further sparked his interest in music.  Larry has been writing, singing, and playing his original songs from an early age.  In junior high, he recorded his first 4 track album.  During high school, he performed in numerous musicals and sang in the choir.  A few years later, his acting landed him a supporting role as Marshall Grant in the movie “Walk the Line”.  In the movie he played the bass in the Johnny Cash band; this further sparked a burning passion to follow his dream of singing and songwriting.  Over the years his musical talent has progressed into prolific songwriting and live performances.

Larry Bagby’s true passion has been, and remains, as a musician.  He has a gifted songwriter and musical style that is uniquely his own yet is equal to the star power of today’s country music scene.  His original songs have been featured in the films, “The Day the Earth Stood Still” and in the title track of “The Breakup Artist”.  Bagby sang “Counting My Lucky Stars” (written by Mike Stinson) alongside Tim McGraw’s music in the CBS hit show “Cold Case Files”.  An in-demand live entertainer, Larry Bagby has opened for Glen Campbell, Luke Bryan, Hunter Hayes, Joe Diffie, Hal Ketchum, Pat Green, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Kevin Bacon Brothers, etc.  He has performed alongside members of Johnny Cash’s “Tennessee Three” and many other notable bands.

Larry Bagby’s vast catalogue encompasses a wide array of music genres from Country to Contemporary Country- POP.  He has an old soul and has been inspired by numerous old-style country stars such as Johnny Cash, George Jones, Merle Haggard, etc. With his many exceptional talents expect to see more of the actor on-screen as well as the musician on-stage for years to come.
